The Walmart MoneyCard is a reloadable prepaid card that helps consumers stay on top of their finances. Furthermore, cardholders have several convenient ways to check their balance at any time.
Online
To check your balance online, you'll need to visit the website and create an account. Be sure to have your card handy as you'll need to provide the 16-digit card number, expiration month and year, along with your date of birth and zip code. Once your account is set up, you'll be able to login to the online portal and view your available balance 24/7.
Mobile App
The Walmart MoneyCard mobile app allows you to check your balance at the tap of a fingertip. Simply download the app from Google Play or the App Store and enter your credentials to access your account information.
You can also view transaction history, deposit a check (if you're a cash-back rewards cardholder) or find the nearest ATM.
Text Message
Sign up for text alerts from the online account management dashboard for your card. Once you've opted-in, you can text "BALXXXX" (last 4-digits of your card) to 96411 to retrieve your balance. Walmart does not assess a fee to use this service, though service charges from your carrier may apply.
Account Alerts
If you prefer to receive a daily text or email message with your balance, enroll in account alerts and select this option. You can also access several other account alert options from the account management dashboard.

In the event you are having trouble accessing your balance or need assistance with your card, call 877-937-4098. There will be representatives standing by to help you retrieve your balance or resolve any other issues with your Walmart MoneyCard. If you discover that your card is out of funds, there are several convenient reload options you can use.
